The port of the classic game 'Another World' has been taken off the authors website due to copyright complications.
My advice D/L from DCEmu while you still can!!!!
http://membres.lycos.fr/cyxdown/raw/
Bit silly if you ask me, as the original game is still available for download from many Abandonware sites.
Ah well.

There will be many updates to come. New SBI's, new SBT's, and most importantly, new helper apps will be unveiled soon. Please visit the new DCStuff Web Site, and register for the new message forums if you feel so inclined.

Don't know how we missed this and let Dr. Zoidberg beat us to the punch over at DCEmulation, but Scherzo has released his much anticipated update of Super FamiCast. You can download the emulator from SuperFamicast.com.[br]Here is what Scherzo has to say about this release:[br]- 5/16/2004 Version 2[br][br]This is an exciting, disappointing, and hopeful release. It's exciting because Marcus Comstedt and the DreamSNES team did a wonderful thing and decided to let me use their 65c816 CPU core written in SH4 assembler. Before I go on any further, a huge public thanks to them![br][br]This release is slightly disappointing because the new CPU did not produce the kind of speed increase some might have expected. Also, this CPU core does not seem to work if you disable the SNES sound CPU. So disabling the sound simply prevents the sound from being rendered, but doesn't not disable the emulation of the sound chip. Actually, I believe performance with sound disabled has decreased since the last release. This doesn't concern me too much since the goal is full speed emulation with sound.[br][br]So with that in mind, this is a hopeful release since emulation with sound has improved and some games are playable with sound. Also, the code given to us by the DreamSNES team provides valuable insight as to how other parts of the original snes9x code can be rewritten in assembler.[br][br]Heres a small list of other changes to look for in this release:[br][br]
- Mouse support[br]
- Ability to enable/disable the various background and sprite layers[br]
- Sound is now syncronized with action[br]
- Sound quality can be turned up and down[br]

I have done a quick test for this very promising emulator.
Of course, it's not perfect (the N-Gage will reboot -without asking activation codes though- when you will try to launch another game after playing one, you can't press two keys at the same time (sad for te jumps in platforms games or games using diagonals), there is no sound and the savegames don't seem to be Â*included yet. But it is really VERY promising, just try it and there is no doubt that you will agrre with me.
I have also tested some games :
Games working : QuackShot (Raahh, wonderful graphics - too bad it isn't playable because of the only-one-key-at-a-time Â*), Revenge of Shinobi, Shinobi3, Marble Madness, Altered Beast, Gynoug, Streets of Rage and Phantasy Star 2 (but the compression is too bad for the fonts used, so it's quite hard to read the texts, and furthermore the saves don't work).
Games that stop after title screen : Phantasy Star 3, ThunderForce 3.
Games that don't work at all : Shining Force
I will let you test other games Â*
Enjoy. Â*

Spotted this news over at Slashdot Games [br][br] Students at Carnegie Mellon University who took the student-led course 98-026: Game Development for the 8-bit NES have finished up their ROMs and made them available for download. Most of these ROMs were developed using NBASIC, which was written by their instructor, Bob Rost. These are some of the first new NES games developed in years, and best of all, the ROMs are legal! You can get the games and learn about the NES (and the software tools developed for this class) at the course web page. You can even start developing your own games! [br][br]Try out these great new Nes games with your favourite Nes Dreamcast emulator.

Some rather surprising news from Lik Sang [br][br] While the big ones announce new systems, ground-breaking new concepts and a shipload of new games for the next generation, we have some good news for the Segal loyalists out there (that includes about everybody at Lik Sang).[br][br]The Dreamcast is back in stock. We have received a huge delivery of a special modified Dreamcast version (native country: USA) that plays import games from all regions. The system comes with a Dreamcast Standard Controller, the AV and power cord and a 56k modem (also available on its own). The used systems have been repacked and come in the original box and English user manual. Please note that you need a 110V Step-Down Converter (US$ 4.99) if you are in Europe, Australia or any other country with 220V or 240V. [br][br]Check out the link above for more information.[br][br]Its a shame that new Dreamcasts with built in DVD players werent available

News From C&VG [br][br] After a couple of weeks of speculation, hype and anticipation, Sega's big E3 announcement has been revealed to be the mildly-interesting-but-hardly-very-exciting news that it has bagged the publishing rights to Warner Bros.' MMORPG The Matrix Online.[br]Sega's "revelation" at E3 had the kind of impact normally reserved for a helium-filled balloon bouncing off a baby's head. "That's it?" was the astonished response from many, especially after the press, including us, had reported on the deal back on Monday before Wednesday's show kick-off. [br][br]"We thought you were planning a new console..." balked a few over-imaginative souls seated at the back.[br][br]So there you have it, Sega is publishing the PC MMORPG The Matrix Online. We knew it. You knew it. Ubisoft had it, but for whatever reason, didn't want it. We can hardly contain ourselves. At least Keanu Reeves hasn't lent his acting talents to the game. [br][br]There you have it, not what we were all hoping or expecting, infact quite boring in my opinion :P

Some great news forwarded to DCEmu UK early [br][br]S+F Software's Inhabitants, being released May 22nd at the Midwest Gaming Classic will have a special surprise built into it -- the entire game soundtrack is listenable in a regular CD player! All that you will need to do is put the game disk into any non-Dreamcast CD player and it will give you a short message telling you that the game is playable on the Dreamcast, but you can listen to the entire soundtrack if you would rather. After that, the entire addictive Inhabitants soundtrack will play so that you can let Inhabitants move into your car or even come with you in your walkman![br][br]Excellent news, head on over to The Goat Store for more information.[br][br]Lets support the Homebrew Developers for Dreamcast.

Got some excellent high quality screenshots of the GBA Emu for Dreamcast by Troy Davis aka GPF, we tried the emu with Mario Kart GBA, F Zero & TMNT.[br][br]Findings so far in the build we tried is that its stil quite slow, its only when the video playback was up to 8 speed did it look like it was playable. Graphically it looks briliant.[br][br]Check out the excellent new screenshots Here [br][br]All shots are 100% genuine.[br][br]Looks damn good for an early build.

Vex over at our sister site Emufanatics posted this news:[br][br] After yesterdays teaser here comes another video of this in the works Dreamcast emulator.[br]This time I'm using another program to record video that doesn't consume as much CPU power as the last one, which means that the speed doesn't drop that much while recording now.[br][br]This video is from Sonic Adventure and video quality isn't the best since I compressed it heavily too keep it below 10MB so as many as possible could view it. Sound is even recorded in mono since it doesn't sound that good while recording (was thinking of skipping it for a while). [br][br]Chck out the video Here
