This weekend, we are very happy for good progress of PCX4ALL: Playstation1 emulator for Dreamcast, GP2X, Zaurus, Zodiac, GNU/Linux and Windows.
I just have been able to adapt PCSX CPU recompiler for SH4 by Mark Grilenkov and Dreamcast gets 14fps using our GPU software render for a lot of games. I hope get fullspeed (frameskip0) when we will write a new GPU using PVR hardware aceleration.
DCiberia comments and shows a set of screenshots and a video running PCX4ALL under Dreamcast (register is need it).

Just a reminder that the contest ends at the end of this month.
There's still plenty of time to enter. I'll accept entries all the way until midnight PST on the 31st.
Remember, you don't have to make a complete game - there's a minigame section of the contest as well.
For the full game contest you don't have to have a completely polished game - just a game that is near professional level. If you run out of time, but have a playable game that just lacks some spit and polish - submit it anyway - you still will have a good shot at winning.

Quite a while back, I had a discussion with burnerO, regarding Sbiffy!com and the files hosted there. I asked him at that point if it would be okay to move everything from the old site into the DC Evo network, and he said that would be just fine.
After quite a bit of hurdles and leg work, the entire Sbiffy!com file structure has been downloaded from Consolevision and copied over to our DCHelp server.
We are proud to unveil the "DCHelp SBI File Repository". Currently, it holds every single SBI and SBT file that were located on Sbiffy! In the future, it will contain so much more, including an area for users to easily contribute their own SBI files.
In addition, we will hopefully be incorporating the Sbiffy! forums into the DreamZone boards very soon.
Thanks to burnerO and everyone else that has made this possible.
The famous games magazine Edge has reviewed Under Defeat in there latest issue. They gave it 6/10 which for Edge scoreing, is good (for example they gave Oblivion 8/10, Grandia 3 6/10, The Godfather 4/10, etc).
The review begins..
"Another year, another Dreamcast shoot'em up Swansong..."
NiktheGreek has scanned and uploaded the review here
So... yesterday I was messing around with some files I had with tons of GameShark codes, and I decided to build an online Dreamcast cheat code database using PHP+MySQL.
Right now there's 3500+ GameShark/ActionReplay CDX cheat codes for 254 dreamcast games, but I'll keep adding more games and codes I've around. I also have a couple of related projects in mind that will help Dreamcast's gamers to handle cheat codes.
the new version was almost ready to be released when I discovered another bug from the previous version. So I decided to take some more time to fix this bug, this shouldn't take too long hopefully.

VMU Tool 0.8.5 should be released in 3 versions, each one with its own default theme:
PSO theme, Love Hina theme,Shenmue 2 theme
The theme only sets default wallpaper and colors, you're free to change them anytime as you wish.
Apart from allowing to backup VMU files to PC and vice versa, or save them from CD/PC to VMU, VMU Tool has some functionnalities that are not well known. Here are some misc screenshots that demonstrate some of them: The image viewer supports BMP, PNG, JPEG images and PVR textures The text viewer displays text files by respecting alineas and tabs The audio player loads some Ogg Vorbis, MP3 and Wave musics with a timer displayed in real time
VMU TOOL PC, a cool Windows-Like explorer which allows you to manage Dreamcast's saves on your PC has been released. I (SiZiOUS) made with Speud.
It's a cool add-on for VMU TOOL avialable on Dreamcast (by Speud, v0.8.5 soon). You can get all information you want, such VMU icons, copyright, size, etc, modify these information, and much more. Currently, this program supports VMS+VMI files and DCI (Nexus) files.
Two versions has been released, a ZIP (no install) and an Setup. Choose your favorite package

We plan to release the final of Giana’s Return when everything is in 101% shape. Basicly we target to release a Dreamcast or Win32 release at a demoparty called Buenzli (www.buenz.li) and we probably going to enter the GP2x port into the GPH coding contest.
Most staff members are very busy by now, specialy the ones attending university or school. Only the organizer and the main coder are kind of limited busy. In any way there will be no release before end of July 2006.
