Production on the sequel to the Sonic The Hedgehog movie is reportedly due to begin in just a few months. A listing on the Creative BC Film Commission website -- which handles movies shot in British Columbia, Canada -- shows that a production, codenamed 'Emerald Hill' is due to begin filming on March 15, 2021. As all Sonic fans know, Emerald HIll is the name of the first zone in Sonic The Hedgehog 2. Further evidence that this project is in fact the Sonic sequel can be found in the fact that the first movie's producers Neal H Moritz and Nan Morales, plus director Jeff Fowler, are all involved. Production is expected to be completed by May 10. Of course, this schedule will depend on any impact from ongoing efforts to prevent the spread of coronavirus. The first Sonic The Hedgehog movie, starring Jim Carrey and James Marsden, hit cinemas back in February.
