Both programs have been updated for the convention. This includes many bug fixes, a few additions and smoother interfaces. Here's a short list, see the readme's included in each program for more info. Here's what it does:
*MDT-Inducer - Fixed the bug that would freeze Inducer if the sbi being added attempted to overwrite files already in the Inducer folder.
*MDT-Inducer - Bug Fixed regarding 'cleaning' the inducer folder when the sbilist wasn't visible that would cause a freeze.
*MDT Services - Added a rom renamer for use with SMS plus' screenshot package.
*MDT Services - Added a tool that lets you insert a ip.bin bootfile into a cdi file.
This website will be remodeled in the near future.
The Daily Dreamcast FreeSCI has seen some more releases in the last few days, the words used are over my head (easily done ) but for those interested then please check out thier site here --> http://freesci.linuxgames.com/dc/
MetaFox is now open for pre-orders to the new homebrew Dreamcast magazine, Dream On. The magazine will cost $9 to US buyers (if you live outside of the US, contact MetaFox) and will contain a demo disc with some of the best homebrews around. In order to get a high-quality release MetaFox is look for at the very least 120 pre-orders. If you have the money, please don't hesitate to pre-order.
For more information and where to pre-order a copy of the magazine, follow this link to DCEmulation's forums.
Here it's the new generation of this cool proggy. This program allow you to upload a Dreamcast program and run it on the Dreamcast. You can download the Dreamcast memory to your disk too. To use this program you must load a program on your Dreamcast called DC-LOAD (for Serial version) or DC-LOAD-IP (for high speed way version).
This program use the original dc-tool engine by ADK.
Please notify this program's a WIP. This project started on 04 June 2005. So it's very buggy and must be improved. Please be patient
Dreamcast Scene have posted an article and news of an interview that Yuji Naka gave:
The new October issue of the GEE? magazine (Games Education Entertainment) is now out in German speaking contries, and they feature various interviews from the Games Convention, including Yuji Naka.
In this 2-paged interview the headline "The end of the Dreamcast was a loss for me" makes clear his love to the last Sega hardware.
Dreamcast Scene have posted another great news article, heres goes:
After having been mysteriously removed from the official Dreamcast release list, Ring Age and L-Shitai Ne! for DC have now been added back onto it. This news comes from the Sega Press release of October 2005.
According to the image (thanks Yakumo!), Ring Age will be released sometime this year (2005), and the sale price will be Ą7,140. This is all great news and will hopefully encourage more developers to release for Dreamcast.
Asylum Software has announced that the developement of their upcoming Dreamcast title Zen has come to a halt, citing that their primary programmer desisted from the project. They are now currently looking for more programmers to continue with the coding on the project. If you are a programmer that is interested in helping out with Zen, please visit Asylum Software's website.
IggyDrake posted the release of a new platform game demo for the Dreamcast, heres what he posted:
Well, here it is....
I've been learning as much as I can on DC to make games for it, and after about a week or 2, I'm ready to show a demo.
I'm not used to dc very well, cuz it's so much harder than PC development, which I've been doin' for about 18 years. (I started on a CoCo 3 and C64 ^^!) But I tried my best.
I still have problems....the text window as you will see in screenshot is screwed because I 1) can't get an equiv to allegro's rest() function (usleep doesnt work, freezes game) so the text scrolling will happen instantly,
and i simply CANNOT find a way to space the letters correctly, as I cant
get the size of each letter written as I do on PC. if anyone knows how I can fix this, please help me if you would.
The music is only a short piece, mainly cuz I make my own songs on guitar and other instruments recorded into cpu, and I didnt have time right now.
Also, the gfx could have been much better; it's hard to hand draw chars
for such low resolution (I'm used to 1024x768) and the tiles were a quick job---aaa! sorry, i'm critisizing myself @___@ not my best, but they look nice, really.
It is a SDL (v1.2.9) driver for Dreamcast console and it is based on Bero's driver, but it has new features as addons:
- Fast DMA video driver.
- Textured video driver for virtual resolutions.
- Direct framebuffer video driver using store queues.
- Correct OpenGL integration.
- Fast threaded audio driver.
- Mouse emulation using analog pad.
- Mapped keys as pad buttons.
- Correct timer driver.
A library set for fast portable and powerful coding: UAE4ALL, NEO4ALL and DCaSTaway are Chui's SDL driver based.
Well, its hard for me to get this out, but it is something that needs to be said...
The upcoming release of ljsdcdev Engine 0.9.2 will be the final release of the engine as it is known today. Both of the main projects that run on it have seemingly outgrown the engine, and the constraints needed upon them. Basically, I've managed to make a version of ljsdcdev and DCRPG that refuse to run properly, if at all, on the Dreamcast. Something needed to be done about this. Therefor, there will be no further planned releases of the current ljsdcdev Engine after 0.9.2 and the current libcrabclaw after 0.9.5.
Sorry for any disappointment this may cause to people. And remember, the news means what it says, nothing more, nothing less.
Expect ljsdcdev Engine 0.9.2 and libcrabclaw 0.9.5 by Friday.
Sonic Robo-Blast 2, a 3D Sonic fangame based on the DooM Legacy code base, has been ported to the Dreamcast. However, since this is a beta, please note there are bugs:
- Gamepad support is still very problematic. While not required, it is reccomended you use a Keyboard.
- With using SDL, the framerate isn't very good. Normally, SRB2 runs locked at a max of 30fps. Here, framerate depends on the size of the room, with an average of 10fps. (The coders mentioned they are going to abandon SDL for the Dreamcast port in the future, which should increase speed in future versions)
- It seems to crash after playing a few maps.
- There's no sound yet.
The Dreamcast beta binaries and elf can be downloaded here
This is a bit later, well nearly a year but people have lives and people have too many websites to manage but finally the new look DCEmu is here, the worlds premier english Dreamcast Emulation and Homebrew site finally has a new look and a much tidier one at that. We have now moved to a PHP site but its still done manually until i find a CMS that does what we want.
As you can see the design is much more professional looking and showcases the best of our scene above, the redoing of 360 pages was fun
I do have some thanks for this relaunch
Lyonhrt - the designer of V2 and fellow webmaster of DCEmu
Soully - also a designer and asistant webmaster
Martin64 - who helped the finishing touches to the design and news style and who hosts this site and the DCEmu Network.
I would also like to thank all the staff of the site and the developers who without them there would be no Dreamcast Scene.
Now onto enjoy a sit down and a cup of tea before i catch up with the latest releases

Hello, fellow users. Now it's time to help the ScummVM team bring out a new release of err... ScummVM. Ta-da!
We have a large amount of changes, new features and bugfixes. Almost every aspect of the program was touched, tuned, altered. So we once again need to ask for testers of every game we support.
We'd like to mention two completely new titles we support now. They are Inherit the Earth and Gobliiins (first one in the series). Please, pay attention to those too.
Instructions on how to do the testing are located at our Wiki page. Please, stick to those and report on our mailing list, on #scummvm or in our forums.
The Daily Dreamcast SCI site has once again been updated with a new release but as im no coder it means nothing to me but feel free to visit the site here --> http://freesci.linuxgames.com/dc/
Saqib, our good friend and author of <a href="http://www.pcsx2.net">PCSX2</a>, has asked of us to help in the Pakistan relief effort. Saqib was born and lives in Pakistan. Many of his family friends have been killed from this earthquake which killed 20,000-30,000+ people. Every little donation helps, so if you feel you could contribute, please use the donation button below (Paypal):

Iv got the shell running so far on my dreamcast hardware, still needs some work and don't know how fast , compatibility ,sound etc are working yet. Still need to figure out how to mount the dc gdrom as a drive to load dos games from also.
It appears that the only problem with access at the moment has to do with our actual domain name (dcevolution.net). Again, I am working on sorting out the issue.
GPF has posted news that he is working on a Dosbox port to the Dreamcast:

A new resource for Fenix has opened, the site is primarily a GP32 Fenix site but its also great for any Dreamcast users too. Check out the site here --> http://fenixonfire.gp32x.de/
New dev team enters the scene with an announcement of their new open source Shmup in the works for a DC release. Consisting of too members, they assure the community that they are working very hard and will update their page with latest advancements every Sunday
Right now they are focusing on releasing a demo, but hope to have it pressed on cdrom with a manual.

This is just a reminder that the Second Annual Dream On Contest ends in less than a month. You have until 11:59PM PST on November 10, 2005 to get your entries in.
This year, the contest is broken up into three categories:
1) Professional Game Creation - This is the category that was the sole contest last year. Create a polished game for the Dreamcast (multiple levels of play, title screen, music, high scores, etc.) to be released commercially.
2) Amateur Game Creation - This category is to appease the entrants who didn't meet the criteria for last year's competition. The entries in this category don't have to be commercial quality, but they do have to be programmed in C, C++, or SH4 Assembly (SDL or another games library is fine).
3) Emulator Creation - Create or port (with the author's explicit permission that this be allowed to enter into the contest) an emulator for any system for the Dreamcast.
4) Anything Goes - This is the fun category. Create anything that isn't included in the categories above (BOR Mods, Games Created in Fenix, Doom/Quake mods, emulators, ports of existing software (with author's explicit permission that this be allowed to be entered into the contest), Applications, Multimedia Software, and anything that you can imagine that we hadn't covered in the above.

The Dreamcast port of Sonic Robo Blast 2, a Doom modification using a heavily modified version of Doom Legacy, has been updated. To play this game on the Dreamcast, you need the datafiles from the PC version of the game, and the Dreamcast binary linked below. Here's what's new:
1)Sound is now enabled at starup, yea for sound!
2)Music playback is supported, but is not enabled on startup
3)SRB2 data is now saved to the front VMU on the first controller
4)More levels now load now, that include a blockmap lump
I'm trying to make Dream On more of a hands on website, so I've been busy writing a set of scripts to allow that.
I now have a script in place that will allow you to write a review in the forums, and it will automatically be added in to the database, and linked from the reviews list.
I also decided to allow for news posting to be open as well. Everyone can post news in the forum, and it will automatically be added to the database and linked from the front page.
I also just adapted the review script for the hardware section as well.
If anyone has any other ideas on how to improve user-interactivity with the website, please let me know.
BlazeHedgehog has released a new utility for Apple II Soul Captor. This utility, made with Multimedia Fusion, will create a disks.xml file for use with the emulator.
The disks.xml is the list of disk images you have on a disc. This utility automates the process, rather than making you create a file by hand.
Psilocybin Development has released a port of their puzzle game, Xump to the Dreamcast. The Dreamcast port was done by GPF. The release is to commemorate the one year anniversary of the GP32 release, which was released for the GBAX 2004 Coding Competition. The Dreamcast version is released for the 2nd annual Dream On Competition. The game's concept is as follows: The game consists of a 20x12 playfield which is filled with various types of blocks. Your job is to make the blue blocks disappear from the playfield by stepping on them. There are five main types of blocks, where each of them will behave differently.
