Dan Potter has posted in this topic at CAgames about their new 3D engine for their new game, Tryptonite.[br][br]The Tryptonite 3D engine is the unimaginatively named Vortex (after Tsunami). As I said, it allows for full screen 2x1 anti-aliasing, dynamic lighting, environment mapping, and fake phong light reflections. I now present a screen shot taken from the DC frame buffer, rendered with Vortex.[br] [br]This hasn't been modified in any way except to scale it down to 320x240 to not take up so much forum space. [br][br]Make what you will of our choice of test beds for the 3D... [br][br][br]thanks to Qatmix for the news

This has been posted at http://www.atani-software.net[br][br]New software release coming soon (2004-09-01)[br][br]With the new GOAT contest (http://www.goatstore.com) we are proud to annouce our entry in the contest.[br][br]Currently titled Chain Reaction, a tile swapping puzzle game. This title is basically a clone of Bejeweled. We are working on getting a multiplayer version out after the contest, more likely as a version 2.0 feature.[br][br]This title will include some exclusive content for the GOAT contest. Quzar posted this Very interesting news in this DCEmu UK forum Topic [br][br] Apparently this is a graphical interface that allows you to run programs on your DC from CDs. It works like an OS apparently, and can also run scripts written for it off the VMU. [br] [br]Only drawback? Its in Russian. Maybe someone will translate it... [br][br]More info at the forum Topic

Some very very interesting news tonight that i noticed over at Emufanatics which they got from the (french)emu site Consollection any way heres the news in full from my mate Keith:[br][br] I just read over at Consollection that Runik, best known for Saturnin is now also working on a Dreamcast Emulator. There is a few SDK demos posted and some info. Here is what Ben-J had to post.[br][br]Announced yesterday by Runik, the mystery emulator is a Sega Dreamcast emulator [br][br]The development is advancing rather well, and textures are now showing![br]For proof, here three new screenshots, taken from the official SDK[br][br]More information soon. [br][br]*update[br]Ben-J just informed me that I misunderstood the post and it is not Runik that is the author, just that he was the one to figure out the mystery of what the screens were. My apologies if this caused any confusion. [br] [br][br]Excellent News, check out our new page for this emulator with screenshots on here --> http://www.dcemu.co.uk/runik.shtml

Dear God... I do believe I've beaten Wraggster to some news, he really must be getting old [br][br]A new independent shooter is making its way to the Dreamcast thanks to development team Project Firestorm, called Karugamo:xxx...[br][br]The game appears to use graphics from a range of existing commercial shooters which is slightly worrying, but still it looks fantastic.[br][br]Check out some great looking screens as well as a video Here.

Well all the cool kids seem to have one, so i'd like to present the official dcemu uk blog.[br][br]Though content may vary, expect some interesting topics, and a look into the other side of the site, and the scene.[br]Currently, theres three blogs from LyonHrt, metafox, and soully.[br][br]Though due to the nature, the views don't express the site as a whole, and may contain adult content![br]You have been warned![br][br]Here.

GPF (Visual Troy Advance) has posted some interesting news & a WIP screenshot in this topic on the DCEmu UK message board about his new project:[br][br]A Nintendo 64 emulator for Dreamcast![br][br]Here's what he wrote:[br][br]This is a port of Nincest to the Dreamcast. Currently only runs fire and stars demos very very slowly. [br] [br]On Windows I have it displaying the N64 logo for the start up of WaveRunner, but the rom is to big for the Dreamcast. [br] [br]The colors are way off right now, and I am using SDL to render the screen. [br] [br]Troy
