If you’re a fan of video game systems of yesteryear then you are probably familiar with RetroPie. For those who aren’t, RetorPie is a collection of software and video game emulators that can run on a Raspberry Pi. The package makes it easy to get your fix of old games without having to own a bunch of consoles or loose your breath blowing on cartridges.
[brooksyx] already had a broken Game Gear, Raspberry Pi and a 4.3 inch LCD screen kicking around so he thought it would be a good idea to put them together into a handheld RetroPie. Clearly, the new screen was not going to fit in the old screen’s place. The Game Gear’s case was cut and the bezel from the new LCD screen was epoxied in place, gaps filled and finally sanded.

The screen is not the only modifications done to the case. Down on the bottom right of the case front [brooksyx] added 4 buttons for the N64 C-buttons. Out back the battery compartments and cartridge slot were filled in.
This project isn’t done yet and we are excited to see how it comes out. If you’re digging this RetroPie portable, you may like this Game Gear with an unmodified case or this large-screened Game Boy.

After skipping a week due to a rather large magazine ending up a little too big to finish on time, we return with the re-release of Sega Pro issue 8.
As usual this remastered version has been inspected one more time to remove any spots that might have been missed the first time around, before going through the new batch settings to get the overall look of the magazine as close to the original as possible.
In the earlier version of this magazine, certain colours ended up looking fluorescent, even though in the physical magazine they didn't. This has been fixed with this re-release and now looks spot on once again.

News:
- The good: SD card sockets arrived and I’ve restarted my assembly line.
- The bad: All preorders are now closed, lists are full for weeks in advance.
I keep getting tons of emails asking for another GDEMU production run – yes, there will be one, but I don’t yet know when exactly. My best guess is “in few weeksâ€, with a very broad definition of “fewâ€. Pestering me about it is not going to speed up things.
I HAVE NOT, AND WILL NOT START ANOTHER WAITING LIST UNTIL THE DATE OF NEXT PRODUCTION RUN IS KNOWN. NO, I WILL NOT MAIL YOU, OR THE FEW DOZENS OF OTHER INTERESTED PEOPLE, PERSONALLY WHEN I DO OPEN THE PREORDERS. WATCH THIS BLOG, IT’S HERE FOR A REASON.
That should hopefully make things clear.

The green/gold GDEMUs turned out really nice, I like them even more than the black ones. Here’s a photo but it really doesn’t do them any justice:

It’s been a year since I’ve started making GDEMUs so I dub these 3 units Anniversary Edition ones. They will now undergo extended testing and should ship early next week.
And before you ask – I’m not planning on making any more green/gold units for now, but might try again sometime in future.

The famous Sokoban is a classic puzzle invented in Japan, and have been represented in the world of video games in many formats.Over the years there have been many versions of the game for all platforms, and continuously new collections of standards are created. This is a small engine that allows you to play any level can create because we have modified to support the format more rendering traditional levels Sokoban:LinkNot only that, also can select any level of those in the game with the PAD (buttons X and Y).And with the B button is used to restart a level (nice touch: you can not go back in the middle of a level ... hehehe). So that also is a challenge for you, we've added 52 levels (with evil xD) extracted this web:Link. If you manage to complete all, you have my infinite Kudos !!!: D: D

From the mini-lecture, Alexsandro brings us a video where peopleSWAT shows progress and first steps in supporting the WinCE games that offer DreamShel l, in its next version (4.0 RC DreamShell 4) shortly. In the video we can see the Starlancer running in a preliminary way but more than acceptable results.
<center style='font: 13px/19.5px "Open Sans", Tahoma, Helvetica, Arial, Sans, sans-serif; padding: 0px; border: 0px currentColor; border-image: none; color: rgb(17, 17, 17); text-transform: none; text-indent: 0px; letter-spacing: normal; word-spacing: 0px; white-space: normal; widows: 1; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;'><iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/oPSbNwe9Ufw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="" style="padding: 0px; border: 0px currentColor; border-image: none;"></iframe></center>
In the description of the video we can read: "This is still not a pitch, the code is a WIP (work in progress) Slow load and delays in the videos are a temporary effect The game starts from the hard disk.. for the moment can only be launched from the same " Great news, we hope that when released the next version and everything works the way you want people SWAT and has support for SD.We look forward to that version to try the great work of the Russians.
