The new forums are now basically set up, and open to the public. DC Evo and DCHelp are now sharing one set of forums. The old DCHelp forums have been converted into the new ones, and the old DC Evo forums have been locked, to be used as an archive/reference. You can access the new forums by heading over to http://dcevolution.net/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl.
Unfortunately, because of the move, a lot of things are somewhat out of place at the moment. The links within the site currently lead to the old DC Evo boards (although that should be fixed very soon), and DCHelp looks somewhat badly broken. In addition, anyone that was not a member of DCHelp's boards, but was a member of DC Evo's boards will have to register again.
In the near future, we will be porting a few of the most important posts from the old DC Evo boards into the new boards, and it will take us a while to get all of the permissions completely straightened out within the boards, but the entire staff of DC Evo and DCHelp would like to welcome you to our new boards, and look upon this change as a very positive move.
Again, the new boards can be found at http://dcevolution.net/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl. We hope to see you there.

fox68k posted this in this topic:
<blockquote>
Another FAME update comes here...
Here is what is new:
- Lightweighted entry/exit code.
- Fixed sign/zero flag calculation when moving long data from memory to memory.
- Privilege violation exception fixed.
- Faster interrupt/exception management.
- Timing fixed in MOVEM instructions.
It is pretty stable and fast now and has a very good level of accuracy. Almost every NeoGeo game work in Neo4all (next Neo4all release will demostrate this ).
Quzar describe it as "BUG FREE and SAVE TO RUN". Thanks Quzar
I would love to get some feedback as well as some news about Genesis Plus running with FAME.
P.D: Next Neo4all release will be really amazing! Keep tunned!</blockquote>

The PDRC #3 ends upcomming Sunday, please make sure to send in your entry in time, probably even a day or two earlier so we can see if it's rule conform and there won't be troubles for you. If we recognize a non rule conform entry, we might inform you if there is time left so you have time left to fix it.
The sponsor of this team will also join the judging team like last time.
The T-Shirt motive might change, so you probably won't get a "Consolefever" T-Shirt but something similar.

DCEmu UK along with Dreamcast Scene are the only 2 (english) sites at the moment in the Dreamcast Scene that post news on a regular basis and to keep on top we need specialists in certain fields to help the scene keep on moving.
We are looking for newsposters who have good knowledge in
Dreamcast Hardware Mods
Beats of Rage Modding
Quake & Doom Modding
Commercial Dreamcast News
Dreamcast Development News
DVD/CD Covers News
This site and the scene needs people who can fill those shoes and give those areas of the scene much more exposure. if your interested reply to this thread.

Those of you like me who follow the Dreamcast Scene and also the GP32 Scene will be sad to know that the Gianas Return Project ( its a great homebrew platformer for the GP32 and Dreamcast) seems to be dead, apparently theres a lack of interest in the project and well as the original coder CHN left too.
Hopefully a LOT of posts here might convince the authors that we do indeed want a new release.

timwylie a member of our forum gave me an interesting link for a new Dreamcast Mod:
News from --> http://www.hackaday.com/entry/1234000660038084/
<blockquote>let me ask you something. haven’t you ever wanted to build your very own guitar amp out of an old video game system? of course you have. well now you can start out with the dreamcast guitar amp. basically, it’s pretty easy, doesn’t require any soldering, and takes a lot of patience.</blockquote>

This is a notice to say that only topics posted in the Dreamcast News forum will show up as news. Since the move to Vbulletin some of the permissions got a little screwed up :P, but ive hopefully sorted them, now you should be able to post news and also reply in the News forum.
Remember we dont use coranto now.
If any staff or coders need access to post news or indeed you have any forum problems then please respond to this topic --> http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/sho...newpost&t=4827
Hopefully all these little bugs can be sorted
and btw the GBA emu for DC is real

<a href="http://storm-studios.net/GPF/" target="_blank" >GPF (Troy Davis)</a> has tonight given me the honor of releasing the worlds first Game Boy Advance Emulator (also plays Game Boy Colour and Game Boy Mono games) for the Dreamcast Console.
The emulator is a port of Visual Boy Advance which was in turn ported to the GP32 by Chui and then Troy Davis ported the emulator to the Dreamcast Console.
The release comes in plain, and a rom image downloads and also the source code is available for anyone to carry this project onto greater heights.
heres some info from this release:
<blockquote>Colors for gbc are not right
you can only load 1 rom per session, locks up if you return to menu and try to start a second rom
Sound is not quite right either, clicks and sputters occasionally disable sound fixes that </blockquote>

Paul55 in this <a href="http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=4771" target="_blank" >Forum Topic</a> has released a great looking Space shootem up called Space Dodger, heres some more information:
<BLOCKQUOTE>Hello everyone! Today I'm glad to announce that i have finished and tested v1.0 of my game and everything works ok. Space Dodger is a game made with Fenix completely from scratch and I made it trying to use some goodies of the Dreamcast hardware. The game uses some designs from Macross/Robotech, and it's mainly a shoot'em up game where you will need to have some dodging skills too!! . There is some info taken directly from the readme:
________________
* GAME FEATURES:
________________
* In-Game artwork completely made from scratch
* Coded thinking in Dreamcast hardware (using every trick I knew to gain speed)
* High resolution graphics (640x480 resolution, 16 bit depth)
* Full of sounds and music (well, songs make everything to sound choppy, but I didn't have
another choice)
* 40 FPS constant framerate, with very little slowdown on some levels (level 3 for example)
* Four levels of increasing difficulty (I know... it's short)
* Four kind of powerups (two weapon powerups)
* Three kind of enemies
* Analog - digital controller support (analog has some glitches, but well... it's there)
* Only for one player</BLOCKQUOTE>
Download from <a href="http://www.dcemu.co.uk/spacedodger.shtml" target="_blank" >Here</a>. Leave feedback for Author <a href="http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=4771" target="_blank" >Here</a>.

The well-known Japanese videogame magazine Famitsu rated the Dreamcast version of Trizeal? and four editors gave a rating of 6 / 7 / 6 / 6 which makes a total of 25/40.
Also interesting that the review version came directly from Sega Japan, which means that Sega acts as the publisher this time.
Thanks to Dreamcast Scene (http://www.dreamcast-scene.com/) for that news.

More News from Dreamcast Scene:
Curious how the Breakpoint 2005 looked like? We uploaded some of our photos at the Breakpoint 2005 impressions article, including some new links to other galleries. We also had the "Prestige" and "one" t-shirts at the party and sold almost all of it! So expect an improved re-press soon!
The Dreamcast demo "raytracement killers" by Speckdrumm, which was released there, also got a pouet entry in the meanwhile which also has a screenshot included. See here:

News from Dreamcast Scene ( http://www.dreamcast-scene.com )
<blockquote>This year's largestest pure demoscene event, the Breakpoint 2005 in Bingen / Rhein (Germany) might be over, but gave every Dreamcast fan out there a new demo.
The Austrian / German demogroup Speckdrumm released not only the entertaining PC demo The Nonstop Schlachthaus Experience, but also their first Dreamcast demo on Breakpoint, which was mainly done by phenomenon and blockbuster.
Unfortunately I can't remember the name because I drank too much Becks. Also, there are no information on pouet.net, speckdrumm.org, scene.org, breakpoint.untergrund.net or any other website yet. Seems like we have to wait until someone is awake again.
Update! We spoke with sobec of Speckdrumm and he told us, that the title of their Dreamcast demo is "raytracement killers". You can download it here:
http://www.speckdrumm.org/Release/[sd]_raytracement_killers_dj.rar
By the way, you can get the first impressions from the Breakpoint party here:
