After some unexpected delays, DCEvolution.net finally brings you the ultimate Beats of Rage collection, featuring some of the finest mods the BoR world has to offer:
Beats of Rage Remix, Hatchet Ninjaz, Hyper Final Fight 1 & 2, Alien vs Predator, Dragons of Rage, Double Dragon Extreme & Rage of the Streets - the awesome work of modders like Mr.Q, Kingherb, Vision, AxelBlazeAdam and Hokutoy - all presented on one huge disc!
We've put a lot of work into this project and added small bugfixes and extra features to almost every mod in this compilation.
The games use the BoR game engine created by Senile Team, ported to DC by Neill Corlett and re-vamped by L@ Cible. That means full rumble support and 50Hz PAL / 60Hz NTSC selection.
Enjoy playing your favorite BoR mods again or discover what you've missed! More info and our currently biggest download weighing in at an incredible 500 MBytes compressed, can be found on our Beats of Rage Collection Volume 2 page.
Please post all feedback in the DreamZone forums.

Rmedtx has released a demo version of his Beats of Rage modification, Rael: The Redemption. This is different than other Beats of Rage modifications in that it uses completely original graphics and sounds. This is a very professionally made game, as you can see from the following screenshot:

Dreamcast Scene has started another paper petition, this time for Ecole's "Melty Blood: Act Cadenza".
Melty Blood : Act Cadenza is a NAOMI GD-ROM port of an independent fighting game for PC, based on the visual novel "Tsukihime" by Type-Moon. Watanabe Production (now French-Bread) initially produced the fighting game on their own, and then Type-Moon began to work with them after finding out about it (and liking it). The arcade version was ported by Ecole with the assistance of French-Bread and the input of Type-Moon (for stories, character presentation, and so on).
Dreamcast Scene has had successful petitions in the past, using the method of printing and filling out a petition sheet and mailing it to Dreamcast Scene (which then sends the collected petitions to the company). Border Down and Shikigami no Shiro 2 were two games that were released as a result of the paper petitions.
The Melty Blood petition can be found here.

Seems like the project is back, luckily for us Dreamcast Fans , heres the scoop from the homepage:
The GR-Team is stil alive, no need to worry. We got a couple of bug reports that the levelcodes from level 26 and higher do not work. We apologize for that. Currently we are recoding the whole game from scratch again, for higher portability. Stay tuned for more news...

Keith posted this news at Emufanatics (http://www.emufanatics.com/view/327/) and we at DCEmu UK echo his comments too, so thanks to Keith for this news:
Our fellow network site Emutastic is finally back up after a period of downtime due to their site being hacked and deleted. Gent has done a wonderful job recreating their long list of emulator guides to go along with some very nice interviews that the site features.
So what are you wating for, head on over and give them a visit and stop on by their community forums to leave some feedback. Keep up the nice work Gent.
Heres the link to Emutastic: http://emutastic.emulation64.com/

Warmtoe has another treat for you and this time its a LightGun Test for the Dreamcast, heres the description i was messaged:
The second is a little lightgun test - I have been working on getting my lightgun code working again in KOS and improving the accuracy - for a game which is (kind of) being worked on by me (Trigger Happy) -
More ore less, this is a test app which I would like people to try and tell me how accurate it is with their guns - It is also testing a particle engine I have been working on, but thats an aside really
So please leave any info on testing if you could
Download from Here --> http://www.dcemu.co.uk/lightguntest.shtml

Warmtoe has kindly given me permission to release his new releases for the Dreamcast community on DCEmu UK, the first of those releases is an update to his Burger Time Clone, heres what he said in his message to me:
The first is an updated BTime (Burger Time clone) now with 3 levels, collectables, pepper (so you can stop the enemies in their tracks) - It still needs work, but there is at least more there for people to play with:-
Excellent news download now from the Burgertime Page here --> http://www.dcemu.co.uk/btimeclone.shtml

Nems Hello World demo released on <a href="http://forums.ps2dev.org/viewtopic.php?t=1570&sid=528208a6ab807d46c83810ba6 a4eb9b5" target="_blank" >PS2 Dev Forums</a> started a major surge of Homebrew and Emulation releases for the PSP, that was followed by Marakichis <a href="http://mirakichi.hp.infoseek.co.jp/software/index.html" target="_blank" >Gameboy Emulator called Rin</a> which is now nearon full speed, that has sparked off releases of games like <a href="http://psp-news.dcemu.co.uk/tetrisjp.shtml" target="_blank" >Tetris</a> and more emulators in the shape of a <a href="http://psp-news.dcemu.co.uk/infones.shtml" target="_blank" >InfoNes Port</a> and incredibly a Snes <a href="http://psp-news.dcemu.co.uk/snes9xpsp.shtml" target="_blank" >Emulator which is a port of Snes 9x</a> add to that the release of the <a href="http://psp-news.dcemu.co.uk/pspelf.shtml" target="_blank" >PSP Homebrew Emulator PSPE</a> the last three all thanks to the guys at PSP Wiki.
In just a few short weeks we have seen the emergence of a scene that is chucking out so many releases that its very hard to keep up with all whats new.
Its great to see it though
