News/release from the Iber DC Team
Comes weekend, and how best to enjoy it with new ports for DC
A rum has given a test and test with Allegro to find bugs to help Chui, and I continue with the SDL xD.
SDL Paracas is a game similar to classic Paratrooper, you have to defend the aerial threats Prevents 5 paratroopers landing live.
Messages of the game are in Catalan, but there is not much mystery.

Thanks to Dreamcast ES for this news.
Wolffran the webmaster of Dreamcast History has posted this news for fans of his website:
Just so everyone knows, DCH will be back on-line very soon. I have already secured a new domain name (dreamcasthistory2.com). Before anyone asks, "Yes its the original DCH".
I'm waiting for the host to sort out a few details. If their are no complications, we should be back on-line within the next week, two at the most. We will be using the same host and all of the content is still on their server. In the event data was lost, I have everything back-up on my server.
As far as the forum is concerned, I will update to the latest version of phpBB. That should fix the problem with spam. Hopefully, I can keep the original MySQL database intact.
It would be a great if some (better still all) of the former forum moderators would return to assist me in maintaining the forum. I know many of you are members here at assembler.
I would like to return DCH to its former glory, and forget the sad state in which it ended...
If anyone would like to contact me (for the time being) this would be the place to do it.
Best Regards,
WOLFran

News from DreamcastES and Ron
Do not panic, he lost a DVD with backups source for Dreamcast, and it is possible that all he had developed since April this year is not recoverable until they find the disk, so patience, so that Silber appears.
Instead I tried my toolchain rebuilt and as always another game in Allegro running on the Dreamcast, is very basic and only have to go by depositing apples in the basket of the farm.
This port, done in 5 minutes demonstrates the ease with which they carry things in Allegro for Dreamcast. Its operating as usual, pad, but if you plug a mouse will work. Let's see if our soon "Guru" Chui leaves us taste the Allegro at all.

It was 9 years ago (9/9/99) when the Dreamcast was first launched in the West (specifically the US). And as you might have guess we here are DCEmu owe alot to this little white box, not only for its great commercial games but also for the great homebrew scene it created, (that is still going to this day ) and the many console homebrew scenes it has inspired ever since.
Well what going on in the world of the Dreamcast this year?
Well Ron of Dreamcast.es has been releasing alot of homebrew games and emus recently and I'm sure there is more to come. Our very own Bluecrab is still working away with the Dreamcast builds of yabouse (saturn emu). Also Quzar is alway doing something with his DC (o_O), so I'm sure we will see some stuff from him in the future.
On the 28th we will have a new commercial release for the Dreamcast DUX, which will be the 6th homebrew commercial release for the Dreamcast. And soon after that Wind and Water: Puzzle Battle will be released. So the Dreamcast if far from dead
So, Happy Birthday Dreamcast, we hardly knew ye.

News from the LXdream Project
Ok, that’s about a wrap for the ‘month of bugs’. Mostly minor stuff again, but I’d be interested in hearing about anything that’s still failing to start with the latest svn revisions. And now back to some of those video bits and pieces that I keep putting off… (well, that and continuing to hammer on the ARM test cases as time permits)
Changes
SH4: Mask SR, FPSCR, and the MMU/General IO registers properly
SH4: Remove a number of harmless warnings that have been cluttering up the output
SH4: Initial real perf counter implementation, at least for 0×23 (SH4 clock count)
AICA: Set a sensible default value on the 0×2808 register
GDROM: Fix reading NRG images with multiple DAOX/DAOI sections
IDE: Generate the DMA interrupt on end of DMA rather than end of read (duh…)
PVR2: Adjust hclip appropriately when using the horizontal scaler
PVR2: Fix DMA/SQ writes to the VRAM32 region
GUI: Display the current disc title in the title bar
GUI: Change mouse grab to only take effect while actually running, and a grabby controller is configured (ie the DC Mouse).

News from dreamcast es
This time embodies William Wallace! In the conquest of ..... exam, white balls xD
In fact this port with SDL, your goal is to pick up the largest possible number of white balls without you touch the red. Every time you pick up a white, one red appears. Take the blue ball to provide a shield temporary and thus eliminate red balls!
As always, give credit to Steve Kemp to create this game LPG, and with its original web source http://www.steve.org.uk/Software/mousetrap/

In an interview featured in the latest issue of men's magazine Esquire, former Xbox 360 top man Peter Moore recalls how he once lost his cool and said "F*** you!" to Sega dev and Sonic creator, Yuji Naka. The boardroom bust-up happened as the Dreamcast's fortunes were plummeting in the face of competition from PlayStation 2.
Moore - who helped launch Sega's ill-fated machine and was working for the company at the time - wanted to find out how consumers perceived Sega compared with other games companies. He gathered a focus group of twentysomethings and asked "If these brands were people, who would they be?" Apparently, Sega turned out to be the "granddad with dementia who used to be cool but you couldn't remember why."
Moore had tapes of the focus group dubbed in Japanese and headed to Tokyo to report the doddering image of Sega to the company's board. However, when he arrived, Yuji Naka - who Moore describes as being "a tad conceited" - accused Moore of tampering with the dialogue. "I lost it," remembers Moore. "I turned to the interpreter and said, 'Tell him, "F*** you"."
Although the translator refused to convey Moore's feelings, he was pretty sure that his message got across. "Naka had lived in the US for three years, so I knew he understood. I walked out and never returned." What a badass.
Oh, and if you're curious, Moore also reveals that the focus group thought Rockstar was the "drunken uncle who'd show up with a hooker from Vegas". And EA - who Moore works for now - was considered to be "the high-school quarter back who always got the cheerleader - an arrogant son of a bitch."

The ScummVM Team has released a new version of ScummVM for tons of consoles and Operating Systems,
Heres the release details:
We can call it a tremendous development. Half a year since 0.11.1 passed pretty quickly, and we are pleased to announce the release of 0.12.0!
This new version of ScummVM adds support for 5 completely new games. The games that now run smoothly on many more platforms than was initially intended are: The Legend of Kyrandia: Book Two: Hand of Fate, The Legend of Kyrandia: Book Three: Malcolm's Revenge, Lost in Time, The Bizarre Adventures of Woodruff and the Schnibble and Drascula: The Vampire Strikes Back.
The number of supported platforms grew as well. The PS2 port has been revived, and the GameCube and Wii are now supported too. Take your Wiimote and make your beloved adventure game protagonist run around the screen .
For those new to ScummVM heres a description:
ScummVM is a program which allows you to run certain classic graphical point-and-click adventure games, provided you already have their data files. The clever part about this: ScummVM just replaces the executables shipped with the games, allowing you to play them on systems for which they were never designed!
Some of the adventures ScummVM supports include Adventure Soft's Simon the Sorcerer 1 and 2; Revolution's Beneath A Steel Sky, Broken Sword 1 and Broken Sword 2; Flight of the Amazon Queen; Wyrmkeep's Inherit the Earth; Coktel Vision's Gobliiins; Westwood Studios' The Legend of Kyrandia and games based on LucasArts' SCUMM (Script Creation Utility for Maniac Mansion) system such as Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, Sam and Max and more. You can find a thorough list with details on which games are supported and how well on the compatibility page. ScummVM is continually improving, so check back often.
Heres the release notes:

News from geminihc
some of you guys may already be using this, this is a HDR plugin for many d3d games called ENBSeries.
Anyway, i modified it abit to make it work nice in nulldc. But it is not compatible with NullDC PVR, it works only with Chankast PVR (at least for me, if it works for you, let us knwo). Also, i believe u must have at least shader 2.0 vid card. i get a 3-6% performance impact when using these. here are some shenmue 2 before and after screens:
