Many of his family friends have been killed from this earthquake which killed 20,000-30,000+ people. Every little donation helps, so if you feel you could contribute, please use the donation button below (Paypal):

Source - ScummVM Site
Hello, fellow users. Now it's time to help the ScummVM team bring out a new release of err... ScummVM. Ta-da!
We have a large amount of changes, new features and bugfixes. Almost every aspect of the program was touched, tuned, altered. So we once again need to ask for testers of every game we support.
We'd like to mention two completely new titles we support now. They are Inherit the Earth and Gobliiins (first one in the series). Please, pay attention to those too.
Instructions on how to do the testing are located at our Wiki page. Please, stick to those and report on our mailing list, on #scummvm or in our forums.

This is a bit later, well nearly a year but people have lives and people have too many websites to manage but finally the new look DCEmu is here, the worlds premier english Dreamcast Emulation and Homebrew site finally has a new look and a much tidier one at that. We have now moved to a PHP site but its still done manually until i find a CMS that does what we want.
As you can see the design is much more professional looking and showcases the best of our scene above, the redoing of 360 pages was fun
I do have some thanks for this relaunch
Lyonhrt - the designer of V2 and fellow webmaster of DCEmu
Soully - also a designer and asistant webmaster
Martin64 - who helped the finishing touches to the design and news style and who hosts this site and the DCEmu Network.
I would also like to thank all the staff of the site and the developers who without them there would be no Dreamcast Scene.
Now onto enjoy a sit down and a cup of tea before i catch up with the latest releases

Sonic Robo-Blast 2, a 3D Sonic fangame based on the DooM Legacy code base, has been ported to the Dreamcast. However, since this is a beta, please note there are bugs:
- Gamepad support is still very problematic. While not required, it is reccomended you use a Keyboard.
- With using SDL, the framerate isn't very good. Normally, SRB2 runs locked at a max of 30fps. Here, framerate depends on the size of the room, with an average of 10fps. (The coders mentioned they are going to abandon SDL for the Dreamcast port in the future, which should increase speed in future versions)
- It seems to crash after playing a few maps.
- There's no sound yet.
The Dreamcast beta binaries and elf can be downloaded here

News From Bluecrabs site:
Some bad news....
Well, its hard for me to get this out, but it is something that needs to be said...
The upcoming release of ljsdcdev Engine 0.9.2 will be the final release of the engine as it is known today. Both of the main projects that run on it have seemingly outgrown the engine, and the constraints needed upon them. Basically, I've managed to make a version of ljsdcdev and DCRPG that refuse to run properly, if at all, on the Dreamcast. Something needed to be done about this. Therefor, there will be no further planned releases of the current ljsdcdev Engine after 0.9.2 and the current libcrabclaw after 0.9.5.
Sorry for any disappointment this may cause to people. And remember, the news means what it says, nothing more, nothing less.
Expect ljsdcdev Engine 0.9.2 and libcrabclaw 0.9.5 by Friday.

It is a SDL (v1.2.9) driver for Dreamcast console and it is based on Bero's driver, but it has new features as addons:
- Fast DMA video driver.
- Textured video driver for virtual resolutions.
- Direct framebuffer video driver using store queues.
- Correct OpenGL integration.
- Fast threaded audio driver.
- Mouse emulation using analog pad.
- Mapped keys as pad buttons.
- Correct timer driver.
A library set for fast portable and powerful coding: UAE4ALL, NEO4ALL and DCaSTaway are Chui's SDL driver based.

IggyDrake posted the release of a new platform game demo for the Dreamcast, heres what he posted:
Well, here it is....
I've been learning as much as I can on DC to make games for it, and after about a week or 2, I'm ready to show a demo.
I'm not used to dc very well, cuz it's so much harder than PC development, which I've been doin' for about 18 years. (I started on a CoCo 3 and C64 ^^!) But I tried my best.
I still have problems....the text window as you will see in screenshot is screwed because I 1) can't get an equiv to allegro's rest() function (usleep doesnt work, freezes game) so the text scrolling will happen instantly,
and i simply CANNOT find a way to space the letters correctly, as I cant
get the size of each letter written as I do on PC. if anyone knows how I can fix this, please help me if you would.
The music is only a short piece, mainly cuz I make my own songs on guitar and other instruments recorded into cpu, and I didnt have time right now.
Also, the gfx could have been much better; it's hard to hand draw chars
for such low resolution (I'm used to 1024x768) and the tiles were a quick job---aaa! sorry, i'm critisizing myself @___@ not my best, but they look nice, really.
