Whilst searching the internet i came across a site that contains something very interesting for Mobile Phone gaming users and GBA fans too, heres some of the info from the site itself:[br][br] Bobbee Tec's DRG 3D Engine is a complete, full-featured 3D game engine for handhelds and mobiles![br][br]... and it's also the only technology available that can take games designed for the Quake or Quake 2 engines and actually run them on GameBoy Advance (or any other DRG 3D platform!)[br][br]Supported platforms:[br]GameBoy Advance [br]Nokia 3600, 3620, 3650, 3660, 6600, 7650, N-Gage [br]Samsung SGH-D700 [br]Sendo X [br]Siemens SX1 [br]SonyEricsson P800, P802 [br]High-performance DRG 3D Engine key features:[br]Cross-compatible among supported platforms (It's quick and easy -- and built in! -- to create multiple SKUs as easily as a single title!) [br]Direct Conversion of existing Quake / Quake 2 Data (Create and Edit with the same tools you're already using on PC!) [br]Full Texture Mapping on everything without any solid-colored or flat-shaded surfaces (even the sky is rendered!) [br]Real 3D Characters, Objects, Items, Weapons, Monsters (not sprites! -- and with full vertex deformation meshed skin animation too!) [br]Smooth, realistic-looking lighting, shadows, shading and effects raise the bar for game visuals (cliché? Sure, but wait 'till you see the media!) [br]Engine written in 100% ARM/Thumb ASM for maximum speed and high frame rates! [br]True 3D Engine with 6 DOF "FreeLook" for everything (full Yaw/Pitch/Roll, not just look up/down) [br]Arbitrary 3D Geometry including Bridges, Tunnels, Overpasses, Arches, Platforms, Elevators, etc. [br]Physics, Movement, and Collision in full 3D for everything (World, Players, Monsters, Objects, Items) [br]High Precision Math logic and calculations (Minimal jitter, crawl and swim artifacts means no "sliding" textures!) [br]Ultra-fast High-Speed Sound Mixer with 32-channel spatialized stereo support for Music and Sound Effects [br][br]Sounds Excellent doesnt it, they are also looking for content too, heres a list of what to check before contacting first:[br][br] Here's a few quick checks to make before contacting us:[br][br]Level-based data and content:[br][br]All level-based (and related) content should be designed for (and operate with) Quake or Quake 2 on PC [br][br]If your stuff doesn't work with Quake or Quake 2, please make sure that it's possible to convert the data somehow [br][br]If you've built a great map, but it uses someone else's textures, that's OK (as long as you're not trying to claim otherwise!) -- just tell us! [br][br]Also, keep in mind that handhelds and mobiles aren't nearly as powerful as PCs; if your level chugs along at 3 fps on a turbo 2.5+ GHz PC, pass. [br][br]Music and Sounds:[br][br]Music should be in .S3M or .MOD format (or just about any other tracker-style format that can be converted to either of those) [br][br]Music should use as few channels as possible (aim for somewhere between four and 16) [br][br]Music should be as small as possible (most songs should fit completely in 64K to 128K, including instruments, etc.) [br][br]Sound effects should be clean and clear, with minimal clipping (most of these devices have crap-tastic speakers, so any noise is really magnified!) [br][br]Sound effects should be as small as possible (i.e. no 48K 16bit 15-second "item pickup" sounds, please!) [br][br]If you've composed a great song, but it uses someone else's samples or instruments, that's OK (as long as you're not trying to claim otherwise!) -- just tell us! [br][br]Also, keep in mind that handhelds and mobiles aren't nearly as powerful as PCs; memory is limited, so aim for smaller data size instead of orchestral bliss! [br][br]All data:[br][br]Please send us an EMail with a description first, along with a link if it's online [br][br]Be sure to specify clearly what portions of the content are yours, and what portions aren't! [br][br]Check out the site at this link --> http://www.bobbeetec.com/index.htm
